Covenant recognized two of its seniors, Josh Braden (140) and Matt Worley (215), during their only home match of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 2. The match was originally supposed to be a tri with Bishop Ireton and Pope John Paul the Great, but Bishop Ireton did not make it due to weather concerns. Covenant was competitive against a solid PJP team, winning 4 of 9 varsity matches, and all three exhibition matches. The night started with the 103 lb weight class, as Covenant’s Paul Huemme lost 12-7 to Firth (PJP) in a match that was much closer than the score suggests. Huemme beat Firth in overtime earlier in the season.
